this place is for the birds

Today Matilda and I went to the 10th Annual Doodle Romp in Malibu.  It was our 4th time going to the Romp.  We arrived in the rain but it quickly cleared.  There were hundreds of doodles and their people, mostly labradoodles, some goldendoodles and a few others.  I talked with a woman with a woodle, a wheaten/poodle. It's an amazing event with hundreds of dogs running free and never one fight.  The was a delicious lunch with
wine and beer.



After lunch their was an auction which raised several thousand dollars for the AMANDA  foundation. The celebrity MC was weatherman Garth Kent of Channel 7. After the auction was a series of fun contests. Matilda won for Best Trick. They also did Best Kisser, Fastest Dog over 40lbs, Fastest Dog Under 40 lbs, Most Obedient, Best Costume, and Best Dancer.
